This Sock Set is the third instalment in our “Great Women in Herstory” range where we will be inspired by both infamous and legendary women throughout time.

Marie Curie won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for her discovery of the radioactive elements polonium and radium using her technique to isolate radioactive isotopes. She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize and the first person to win two in different fields, the second in Physics with the theory of radioactivity. I attempted to symbolise radioactivity with fine neon speckles on the grey main skeins set off with a wonderful deep strong blue mini.

These Sock Sets have a main 100g skein of Jubilee Sock is 464 yards/ 425m per 100g, 75% SW Merino and 25% nylon.  The 20g mini is Fireworks Sparkle Sock. Sets are approx 120g. Perfect for a pair of socks with contrasting toes and heels!
