Description

Celebrate a holiday or special occasion with our 2026 Brambly Hedge Advent Calendar. We have a small selection of Advent Sets just as yarn.

Brambly Hedge by Jill Barklem is a 1980 series of nostalgic children’s illustrated stories which originally celebrated the four seasons. Characters Wilfred Toadflax, Primrose Woodmouse, Mrs. Apple and Poppy Eyebright go about their busy lives with industrious work and sumptuous celebrations. Who can forget the picnics, the balls, the incredibly detailed illustrations of the kitchens and whimsical depictions of the English countryside.

I have tried to capture the pretty colours used in a versatile series of 12 Merino Bamboo minis, 80% Superwash Merino and 20% Bamboo at 437 yards /400 m per 100g. You will receive 240g of yarn in total and these will not be individually wrapped, you will see all colours in the set on opening your Advent.
