Description

A deep intense charcoal tonal.

We are delighted to introduce a new base sourced from Aleashia and Jarrod of Kirchelly Textiles in New South Wales.

An expertly blended 60% non mulesed non superwashed SRS Merino from Mt Bodangora Farm and 40% Alpaca spun in New Zealand. 340m / 372 yards per 100g, this introductory collection is in the form of 48-50g skeins so approx 170m.

This worsted spun 4 ply constuction yarn is ultra soft, smooth and with a beautiful shine. The knitted fabric is drapey without being floppy, so that all the lovely benefits of Alpaca fibre may be enjoyed supported with the structure and bounce of Merino. Beautiful for acres of stockinette, held with a strand of Fiesta Silk Mohair, in colourwork or for beautiful cables and textured stitches.

Gentle hand wash only. This is a non superwash yarn.

Pattern ideas include (and some are with second strands of yarn held together):

Stornoway Sweater by Cocoamour Knitwear

Spectre by Joji Locatelli
